Haunted History – September Tour

Our wildly popular Haunted History Tours are back for the Fall! Come spend your evening with the Charlotte Area Paranormal Society (CAPS) and Historic Rosedale staff to discover how many of our former residents have chosen to remain behind. The full haunted history tour will be held outside in the gardens and grounds surrounding our historic 1815 house and reconstructed blacksmith shop. Spaces for this storytelling experience tour are limited to 25 persons for a personal yet properly social distanced experience – and to prevent any guests from being left behind as lingering souls themselves! Appropriate for ages 8 years and above.

This month, in honor of kids heading back to school, we’ll take a look at some educational ghost stories. Join us for a specially-themed Haunted History Tour as we share the tales of a former school mistress who is thought to still be in the residence at Rosedale, along with stories of the then “modern” medical education of Rosedale’s second resident owner (and one of its most prominent ghosts) Dr. David Caldwell. This is a great parent – child evening activity to celebrate Back to School. (And we promise – no pop-quiz afterwards!)

This event takes place rain or shine – no refunds will be given. This is not a Ghost Hunt. Please purchase your tickets online and bring proof of your receipt (on your phone) on the night of the event for a contactless experience – this receipt will serve as your ticket. No other tickets will be issued.

The gates open 30 minutes prior to the tour time. Check in will take place just inside the main gate.

  • We suggest that all guests wear a face covering and respectfully ask you to practice social distancing while on the tour.
  • Restroom facilities will be open at 50% capacity
  • Hand sanitizer will be available
