Program and tea time begins at 1:00pm To Dress a Lady gives a glance into the life of the plantation Mistress, Harriet Davidson Caldwell, as she dresses and prepares for the customary duty of calling on friends and relatives.
Visitors will enjoy an engaging performance by one of our Master Docents in the spring glory of Rosedale’s formal gardens. The lady’s wardrobe will be surveyed from the inside out, from undergarments to outerwear, or in the words of the period, from chemise to mantle. And, according to custom tea will be served in a gracious southern manner.
